Data Processing with Predictions in LoRaWAN

In this paper, the potential to reduce energy consumption of end devices operating in a LoRaWAN (long-range wide-area network) is studied. An increasing number IoT components communicating over wireless networks are powered by external sources. Designers communication systems concerned with extending time IoT, hence need look for effective methods power consumption. This article proposes two algorithms devices. The first algorithm based on use measured value prediction, and second optimizes antenna gain device. Both have been implemented tested. test experiments reducing were conducted independently cases then algorithm. possibilities also investigated case when both work together. proposed predictive reduced least. Better results guaranteed optimizing power. greatest was achieved using simultaneously. Tests developed algorithms, laboratory conditions change distance between device LoRa gateway, confirmed possibility during transmission measurement data low-energy LoRaWAN. Reducing electric even few percent single can result significant savings global scale.
